Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi was established in 1998. It is the “first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi.” The institute is affiliated with ACU, AIU, and UGC. ‘NAAC’ accredits the ‘Indraprastha University’ with an A++ grade. IPU offers “BTech, MBBS, MBA, BA, B.Com, B.Pharm, BBA, BCA, B.Sc” etc. BTech is the flagship course at GGSIPU, the cut-off for which is 52 (B.Tech Biotechnology). GGSIPU Admissions are made through an ‘entrance test’ and a ‘central counselling’ process. “JEE Mains, IPU CET, NEET, CEED, CAT, MAT and CUET ” are the key entrance tests accepted.
IPU has amazing facilities like “a hostel, Library, Sports Complex, Laboratories, Cafeteria, Playground, Canteen, Bank, University Health Centre” etc. IPU provides various ‘financial assistance’ to the brightest and minority group candidates of the university. Some of the IPU scholarships are the DLF Scholarship, the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Scheme, the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), the Hana Scholarship, and Merit-cum-Means Linked Financial Assistance Scheme. In the year 2022, the highest package offered was INR 45 LPA and the average package offered was INR 12 LPA.
